smartphonesshop.com.au - It’s not hard to see why Samsung has such a dedicated following. The industry pioneer continues to impress us every year with its smartphones and One UI software, which always comes bundled with some handy hacks that just show how awesome it feels to own a Samsung. Last time, it was for the Apple fans but today it’ll be for the Samsung ones so read on and see how you can get the most out of your Samsung, demonstrated with some videos from our TikTok channel.
Sideload
Miss the days when your side key was for restarting and shutting down your Samsung? Find yourself not relying on Bixby anymore? Well, there’s an easy way to remap it as shown below in our TikTok video. Simply go to settings, Advanced Features and scroll down to Side Key where you’ll be greeted with a variety of options for the home button, which will allow you to choose whether you want the Home Button to trigger Bixby or to bring up the Power Off Menu when it is pressed and held. You can even assign an action to occur when you press the Home Button twice under the Double Press option, which includes opening the camera or another app! It makes things much simpler, just as we like.

Swipeshot
Last time we showed you how you could tap the back of your iPhone for a screenshot, but did you know that your Samsung also has a slick way to take screenshots? Rather than fumble around with side buttons, you can swipe your hand across the screen and feel like it’s the future. To enable this, go to Advanced Features, Motions and Gestures, and enable Palm Swipe to Capture. If you want to see just how cool this looks in action, check out our TikTok video below.

Floaters
Want a more handy and stylish way of getting notifications? Rather than the old fashioned method, your Samsung allows you to receive floating notifications which conveniently appear on top of what you are doing. Go to Settings, Notifications, Advanced Settings then enable Floating Notifications, in which you have the option to Select Smart pop-up view where you can choose which app you’d like to utilise this feature. It definitely beats having to exit whatever you’re doing just to respond to your notifications, and once you’ve embraced it, we doubt you’ll want to turn it off. Our TikTok video below shows just how easy it is to enable it alongside its efficiency.

108MP of Goodness
If you’ve got yourself a Galaxy S20 Ultra or Galaxy S21 Ultra, we’re sure the monstrous camera specs were a deciding factor in your purchase. While you’re usually bound to get fantastic results with the camera, to ensure you’re making the most of it, you’ll need to enable the 108MP mode for pictures sharp enough to impress a professional photographer. It’s actually quite easy as all you have to do is open your camera, select Photo, then tap on the Aspect Ratio option where you’ll be able to choose the 108MP option. If you want further clarification for how ridiculously simple this is, once again let our TikTok video do the explaining!

Attack of The Clones
You most likely have multiple logins and usernames across your favourite social media apps. Whether they’re used for stalking old friends or reasons you’d rather not share, logging in and out of different accounts can get annoying pretty quickly. Samsung has thankfully realised this and loaded their devices with the ability to clone apps! To clone your favourite social media app, open Settings, scroll down to Dual Messenger and select it, to which you’ll be prompted to choose from a list of available apps to clone, with both Facebook plus WhatsApp being compatible with this feature. We’re sure all of you will find plenty of reasons to use this feature! Check out our TikTok video below for a simple demonstration.
