Which Oppo Series is Right for You?

smartphonesshop.com.au - While we know exactly what to expect when we hear the words “Galaxy” or “iPhone”, the offerings from rising competitor Oppo may seem a little intimidating and confusing. Their mission to make a phone suited for every person and lifestyle might be a noble one indeed, but it’s easy to get lost amongst all the names and offerings. If you’re ready to embrace the “Oppo-tunity” to see what Oppo offers, read on and familiarise yourself with the impressive devices available from this innovative company.

Lost and Found

The Oppo Find X series is the company’s flagship range, offering powerful specs combined with unique designs that truly stand out. While most of us think of a Samsung device or an iPhone when it comes to Flagships, the Find X series from Oppo is slowly emerging as a worthy alternative. In fact, GSM Arena called the Oppo Find X2 Pro “the most underrated flagship of the year”, and it’s not hard to see why. The Find X Series are known for their elegant designs, powerful hardware and unique features, built to give a premium feel that doesn’t batter your wallet the way a Galaxy S Series or iPhone would. Releasing to stellar reviews, their latest flagship is no slouch with a silky smooth 120Hz refresh rate and an eye-popping 3K resolution. If you’re wondering how the camera stacks up to the big two, you’ll be delighted to hear that there are two 48MP Ultra-wide cameras and a third 13MP Periscope lens camera, making the Find X2 Pro worthy enough to stand with today’s flagships. There’s one feature though that has really sold us on the Find X2 Pro though, and that’s the 65W Fast Charging that can fully charge your device in around 40 minutes. No that’s not an error, you can charge your Oppo Find X2 Pro that quickly! Add 5G connectivity in the mix, and you’ve got a smartphone that’s nearly perfect.

Similar to the Pro, Pro Max, Plus and Ultra variants we see from Apple plus Samsung (see what we did there?) the Oppo Find X2 is available in the Neo and Lite variants, at affordable prices that make it easier than ever to own a flagship. We have to say that we’re quite impressed with the Find X Series, and with the Find X3 on the horizon, who knows just how mindblown we’ll be.

Renolution

The Reno series is Oppo’s answer to the Galaxy A series, offering mid-range devices with impressive specks that once again avoid breaking the bank. The Reno Series takes the torch from the discontinued R Series and F Series, with plenty to love about this range. It’s the perfect mix of specifications and affordability, packing impressive camera specs and performance. The Reno series shows that Oppo properly understands the diverse needs of the market today, further blurring the line between flagship and mid-range. You can expect great battery and cameras that are perfect for that Instagram worthy shot. It’s also worth noting that the Reno Series is now available in 5G, with the original Reno receiving an updated variant with 5G capabilities alongside the elegant Reno4 and RenoZ 5G. With Reno phones that have 48MP cameras and 120Hz screens, Who said you can’t have the latest features without shelling a thousand dollars and upwards?

The A-Team

When we think of a budget device, we don’t have some particularly pleasant experiences to report. If anything, the term makes us shudder in agony as flashbacks to some truly awful devices fill our minds. The Oppo A Series aims to remedy that, with quality budget devices that don’t even look the part. While many companies would be happy to provide the bottom of the barrel in hardware and software for their budget range, Oppo instead offers AMOLED screens and high-capacity batteries alongside stylish designs that make you forget that you’re using a budget device. We were quite impressed with the gorgeous AMOLED screen of the Oppo A91 and while the cheaper devices in the A Series may have cutbacks such as 720P screens, it doesn’t take away from the fact that these phones offer serious value and a great experience overall. Even lower-end devices such as the A53 come bundled with features usually reserved for more expensive phones such as a 90Hz screen! You can even expect impressive pictures with the cameras included in these devices, although if you’re an Instagram addict, we’d definitely recommend the Reno Series over the A Series. Either way, these devices don’t look, act or sound like cheaper models, which is exactly what budget devices should be!

Oppo Series

While Oppo has made some seriously impressive phones, it’s too easy to get caught up and not know what series is right for you, but with their main focus now being on their Find X, Reno and A-Series, finding the right device for you should now be a breeze. We’re more than intrigued to see Oppo grow as a worthy contender in the smartphone ring, you could even say they’re seizing the perfect “Oppo-tunity.” For everything to with Oppo, keep an eye on our Smart Blogs!
