smartphonesshop.com.au - They say loose lips sink ships, and we’re thankful that there are many in the industry with loose lips indeed. In the case of the Galaxy S21, we have to say the more we know the harder it’s becoming to contain our excitement for this device. With a release date and more leaks, we can’t wait to see how Samsung plans to make our already futuristic Galaxy S20 obsolete. All we can say though, is that 2021 is set to be a fantastic year!
Due Date
The most important leak so far for the Galaxy S21 is a worldwide release date, revealed to be the 14th of January. Android Authority was able to secure confirmation through Samsung’s largest store in India, also confirming the existence of a Plus and Ultra variant as per the previous release. The store has even gone as far as allowing customers to pre-book, giving them the chance to select which variant they’d prefer once the Galaxy S21 is given a proper announcement from Samsung. In other words, things just got real!

Colours and Lenses
Android Authority also states that the store confirmed we’d be seeing the Galaxy S21 in grey, purple, white and pink colours. The S21+ will be available in pink, silver, black and purple, while the S21 Ultra will release with black alongside silver variants. It isn’t just the colours that were leaked, as we now know that the Galaxy S21 Ultra will come with a 108MP camera alongside two 10MP sensors with 10x optical zoom for one lens, with laser autofocus included to further sweeten the deal.
Kicking Ass and Taking Notes
Thanks to Ars Technica, we also know for sure that the Galaxy S21 will include support for the S-Pen, which has us worried that the rumours of the Note series being killed off may be coming true. Ars Technica reports that the FCC confirms we’ll be seeing S-Pen support alongside Wi-Fi 6E promising faster speeds over Wi-Fi than ever before. Official images have also been leaked, with the pictures from blogger and leaker Evan Blass certainly being a treat for the eyes.
This is The Police
For those of you looking for a comparison between the S21 variants, Android Police have been kind enough to provide a purported list of specs between all the S21 models:Specifications | Galaxy S21 | Galaxy S21+ | Galaxy S21 Ultra |

It's also worth noting the curious omission for the S21 and S21+, which is a Quad HD Screen as both models are reported to only include a 1080P screen. Hopefully it at least points to the S21 ultra being able to utilise its highest resolution at 120HZ.
Straight to The Bank
If you’re wondering how much pain you’ll be inflicting on your wallet when the Galaxy S21 releases, Tom’s Guide claims that prolific leaker Ishan Agarwal believes we’ll see a drop in price for the S21 series, also claiming that prices for the S21 series will range between $1040 to $1715 US. While still not set in stone, expect to fork out a premium as you did with the S20, but at least it’s looking that it will be worth every dollar!
With the leaks heating up and the inevitable official reveal of the Galaxy S21 coming any day now, 2021 is certainly looking to be a better year. The S20 series remains as one of the most interesting smartphone releases and we’re intrigued to see how Samsung can top that. If they can come anywhere close though we’d still be impressed.
